Därefter ska möbeln oljas in för att ge skydd mot fukt samt förhindra att den blir torr och spricker. Vid oljebehandling ska jobbet utföras i skuggan för att inte riskera att oljan torkar för snabbt och möbeln inte hinner suga åt sig tillräcklig mängd.
